Altitude: 300 masl
Sweet and full bodied with notes of raisin, stone fruit, and milk chocolate.
Mountain Top Estate is located in the mountains above Nimbin in Northern NSW. The coffee has unique qualities owing to the low latitude, rich volcanic soil types and topography. Coffee grown in the region is typically Kenyan (K7) arabica which is renowned for its sweetness, chocolate notes and abundant fruitiness. These qualities are enhanced via the slow ripening of the low latitude region, comparing with high altitude grown coffee in many respects, which also has slow ripening crops. With this 100% Arabica K7 variety we produce specialty grade coffee that has gained fame worldwide.
This coffee is mechanically harvested and separated by ripeness before being washed and dried.
Mountain Top coffee has been used by several World Barista Championship contestants and used by Tim Wendleboe in winning the World Barista Championship in 2005.
