With the help of his family, Jamleck Njagi Ireri cultivated coffees on Zebra Estate. Situated in the well-known Kirinyaga County at a lofty 1,650 meters above sea level, Zebra Estate has great conditions for growing specialty coffee. Jamleck’s land is surrounded by native forest and on one slope the forest is filled with bees. Jamleck collect honey which he shares with neighbours and visitors.

While visiting in 2019 pre-harvest Jamleck and myself discussed the changing nature of Kenyan Coffee and Specialty Coffee and alongside Wyclef, an Agronomist at  Kahawa Bora Millers, came up with a plan for Jamleck to produce a small amount of natural processed coffee under the supervision of Kahawa Bora Millers.

We are super excited to receive this coffee and look forward to a long and prosperous relationship with Zebra Estate.
